NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. Washington Capitals Win TWO 6-Packs for the 2008-09 Season Sweeps (the "Promotion") begins at 4:00:00 PM Eastern Time ("ET") on Wednesday, October 1, 2008 and ends at 11:59:59 PM ET on Friday, October 17, 2008 (“Entry Period”).

ELIGIBILITY: The Promotion is open only to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia residing in the 50 United States and the District of Columbia (excluding residents of Puerto Rico and residents of states where this Promotion is prohibited). Entrants must be 18 years of age or older at the time of Promotion registration. Employees, officers, owners, members and directors of Lincoln Hockey, LLC dba Washington Capitals (“Sponsor”), their respective affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising, promotional, fulfillment and marketing agencies, their immediate families (parent, child, sibling and spouse) and persons living in the same households as such individuals (whether related or not) are not eligible to participate in the Promotion. Void where prohibited by law, rule or regulation. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. You understand that by submitting an entry you are accepting the terms of these Official Rules and agreeing to be bound by them. You understand that by submitting an entry your name, e-mail address, address, and phone number may be added to Sponsor’s database for promotional mailings and e-mails and you may be contacted by a representative of Sponsor. You may enter the Promotion only one time during the Entry Period. Multiple entries will be disqualified.

SWEEPSTAKES (FIRST PRIZE) DRAWING: One winner will be selected in an electronic randomized drawing from all eligible entries received up to and including that drawing date, as set forth below. There will be one drawing which will be held on Monday, October 20, 2008 at 9:00:00 AM ET.

WASHINGTON CAPITALS 6-PACKS SWEEPS (GRAND PRIZE) AWARDING/DRAWING: The winner will be chosen by electronic randomized drawing. There will be one (1) Grand Prize winner who will be awarded TWO (2) 6-Packs to six (6) predetermined games selected by the Capitals front office staff. There will be no other winners or awards.

ODDS: Odds of winning depend on the number of entries received.

PRIZE CONDITIONS: Sponsor’s decision is final in all matters relating to the Promotion. Sponsor will notify winner by email, mail or telephone, within ten business days of the drawing date. To qualify for a prize, a selected entrant must sign an Affidavit of Eligibility, Consent to Publicity, Liability Waiver, and federal and state tax release, all of which must be executed and returned within 14 days of the issuance of notification or such other date set by Sponsor. Failure to comply with all instructions in the prize notification, or return of prize notification as non-deliverable, may result in disqualification of the entry and determination of an alternate winner. Prizes will only be awarded upon final winner verification and final approval by Sponsor. Prize is not transferable or redeemable for cash and prize substitutions will not be allowed, except at the sole discretion of Sponsor, who reserves the right to substitute a prize with another prize of greater or equal value in the event that a prize or portion of prize is unavailable. Any taxes, fees, or incidental costs including but not limited to income taxes which may arise and be due or asserted on account of the prize shall be the sole responsibility of the winner. A 1099 tax form will be the responsibility of the winner. Winner agrees that receiving a prize grants Sponsor the right to print, publish, broadcast, and use universe-wide in any media now known or later developed at any time or times, the winner's name, portrait, picture, voice, likeness, and biographical information for any purpose, including but not limited to, in advertisements, publicity, and other communications without additional compensation, except where prohibited by law.

RELEASE: As a condition of entering the Promotion, entrant agrees that (1) under no circumstances will entrant be permitted to obtain awards for, and entrant hereby waives all rights to claim punitive, incidental, consequential or any other damages, other than for actual out-of-pocket expenses; (2) all causes of action arising out of or connected with this Promotion, or any prizes awarded, shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form class action; and (3) any and all claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, but in no event attorney’s fees. BY ENTERING THE PROMOTION, ENTRANTS AGREE TO RELEASE, DISCHARGE AND HOLD HARMLESS SPONSOR AND THE OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, MEMBERS, EMPLOYEES AND AGENTS OF EACH, FROM ANY AND ALL LIABILITY FOR ANY INJURY, LOSS, OR DAMAGE OF ANY KIND TO PERSONS, INCLUDING DEATH, AND PROPERTY, WHETHER DIRECT OR INDIRECT, WHICH MAY BE DUE TO OR ARISE OUT OF PARTICIPATION IN THE PROMOTION OR ANY PORTION THEREOF, OR THE ACCEPTANCE, USE/MISUSE OR POSSESSION OF PRIZES, OR ANY PRIZE RELATED ACTIVITY. The Sponsor and any independent judging organization may stop you from participating in this Promotion if you ignore the Promotion Official Rules or act, in Sponsor’s sole discretion: (a) in a manner Sponsor determines to be not fair; (b) with an intent to annoy, threaten or harass any other entrant or the Sponsor; or (c) in any other disruptive manner.

CHOICE OF LAW AND JURISDICTION: Except where prohibited, all issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation, and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of entrants or winners, Sponsor, and administrator in connection with this Promotion, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the District of Columbia, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules or provisions (whether of the District of Columbia or any other jurisdiction), which might otherwise cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than the District of Columbia. Any action seeking legal or equitable relief arising out of or relating to the Promotion or these Official Rules shall be brought only in the courts of the District of Columbia.
